Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's father, was first seen on stage as Flora McGrath. For this role, she won an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. The actress is second-youngest winner in Oscar history. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Canada on the 24th of July, 1982. She is a Canadian-born actress from New Zealand. In 1993, she was awarded an Academy Award at age 11 to play the inquisitive, chatty daughter that was Holly Hunter who played the leading character. In response to an open audition call to play the character, she got it as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a deaf Scottish piano player who moves from Scotland to New Zealand in mid-19th-century to get married. It was her first role at the age of nine and had no prior experience in acting. As a teenager, she relocated to America. Paquin was Jane Eyre's main character when she was a teenager in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) and the main role of Jane Eyre in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the television film adaptation Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 film Amistad. She was a teenager as teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and played the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa as a character in Almost Famous (2000).
